Latin Roots is a living history public art and education and performance program  of Community Works NYC that celebrates the vibrant culture and history of 6 of New York City’s Latino neighborhoods. Created in 2003 each exhibition honors local heroes through the lens of young people with portraits by photographer Ruth Morgan.

Latin Roots: East Harlem is an intergenerational public art exhibition that venerates Harlem’s distinct cultural and historical importance by honoring 9 of its local heroes.
