The harlem is… started as a community learning program in middle and high schools in Harlem and across New York City where young people researched local histories and interviewed community leaders, artists, and activists. Now, the exhibition series offers a wide range of learning opportunities for youth and adult learners. Gathered here are activities, essays, and curriculum resources that visitors, teachers, and parents can use with the digital exhibition materials presented on this website, in their classrooms, or when visiting the harlem is… exhibition at a community site.
